Is the information on my phone safe? When I tap on your logo how will I know that none of my personal information is also being transferred onto your logo?

Yes, the information on your phone is safe. The technology that QuickTap uses has encryption algorithms (a similar measure used by Apple Pay and Google Wallet) to ensure that no unauthorized users can hack into the NFC chip and re-write or manipulate the coding. For more information on how this is done please send us an inquiry here and we will be glad to address any concerns you may have.

How does NFC work?

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a type of wireless communication that happens between devices that are NFC-enabled such as smartphones, tablets, smart watches, etc. The NFC user can tap their smartphones or devices on an NFC tag –this allows information to be passed along without having to download an app or having to touch the device directly.

A device (known as a reader, or an active device) creates a radio frequency current that transfers information to another NFC compatible device or an NFC tag containing this information.

Do I need to download an App to use QuickTap?

No, you DO NOT need to download an app to use QuickTap. For Android, Windows and Blackberry users, go to your settings and activate NFC. Once this is activated, all you need to do is tap your phone on our logo. Check with the manufacturer of your phone to be sure how to turn on some of these features.

For iPhone users, go to the app store and download QR code scanner/reader (if you don’t already have one) and scan the QR image on our QuickTap logo. This is only until Apple opens their NFC platform.
